Pro980ject
pro980ject is the first in line of 3D printed 1/8 scale super cars. The model is heavily inspired by the Porsche Carrera GT. Developed using an extensive collection of reference images and blueprints, the model faithfully replicates the construction principles of the original car. Its architecture consists of a main chassis tub, rear subframe, and separate body panels, complemented by accurately scaled suspension geometry, functional pushrod-actuated suspension, and working steering system.
Designed to capture not only the timeless form of the original, but also its race derived engineering principles behind it.
Documentation
It doesn't stop at the models themselves. The documentation that accompanies you during each project is carefully designed to reflect the look and feel of the original car's era, drawing inspiration from its manuals and technical literature of its time. From printing instructions to the final assembly, every detail has been considered, helping make the entire experience feel like a step back into the period of the car's development and reveal.
About me
Nikola Ilic
Modulus was born out of an appreciation for the design and engineering of legendary cars. As both designer and engineer, each project is an opportunity for myself to experience and get close to the process of engineering and designing a car through 3D modelling, often encountering the same challenges that the original engineers may have faced when developing the real thing. The goal is not to just simply create another static display piece, but to offer a rewarding assembly experience that reflects the complexity of the real life counterpart. Form does not always follow function, but when it does, I'll be there to try and turn it into a scaled-down masterpiece. 3D printing has allowed us to bring these creations to life from the comfort of our own homes, and now it's your turn to build the car of your dreams. I'm here to provide the models.
